After all the talk about the new vegemite - iSnack 2.0, (i still can't believe its called that by the way) i found these at the supermarket today. They are actually quite tasty. im assuming they are trying to aim at the "tech" generation, does anybody else think that this is ridiculously dorky.. even the tropical is shortened!

Dinner at Gar Lok

For those of you that don't know, my parents have a restaurant - the Gar Lok. Its on the corner of Glyde Street/Stirling Hwy Mosman Park. (Across the road from the Mosman Park trainstation). It looks like its not open ever - but it actually is , just only at night time. Heres Ben at the bottleshop for pre drinks.

I used to swing on this yellow railing when i was a lot smaller. I'd probably break it now. That is the collection of drawings from customers that have built up over the years.

Mmmm rice, satay beef, sizzling garlic and chilli prawns.

Kind of failed attempt at shooting my dad cooking. A lot of respect for my Mum and Dad, they have worked and run Gar Lok for 35+ years. Longest running chef to restaurant in Perth, maybe even Aus.

The new fish n chip shop that is in Glyde street, we will be sure to check it out as my dad loves fish n chips.
