weekend

Productive weekend. Found some time to muck around with my tablet pen and do some digital colouring, really fun! I will try do more drawing and post more. On a different note i am going to create an online portfolio soon. I'll chuck this blogger in on the front page so i can post photos n crap still. Can anyone help me with domain names? What should i call it? Most things have been taken.

Went to the New Edition Bookshop (now my favourite bookshop)

Bought these two books. I will go buy more soon.

Mum went to a new dimsum place on the weekend and brought back custard buns that were so amazing, the custard was oozing out! Mira we gota find this place.

Got a bit more work done before ben came over for dinner.

Decided on Bar Pizza for dinner, undoubtedly in my mind the best pizza place ive eaten in Perth so far. And i have eaten a lot of different pizza. If you can suggest a place i havent been to i am keen to try!

We decided to have calzones tonight, ben always tries to get them chefs to put as much chilli in/on his as they can.

Noel Noel

This post is basically about eating at the cafe called "Noel" across the road that is pretty expensive for our standards of lunchtime meals. But we thought we might as well give it a go once. Anyways, i finished my first book since yr 12 (i think) now im onto the biography of Magic Johnson, its actually pretty interesting.

Rocked up to work yesterday and found these on the ground. Can you guess what they are?

We finally got the kettle into action thanks to help from Aids. A lot better then buying hot water all the time.

Aids is on the coffee program.

Big D came down to say hello for a couple of days, was good to see him. I forget how tall and how short i am sometimes.

Anyways here comes lunchtime. Aids orders a pomegranate (sp?) ice tea i think it was or juice?

Ben and i got a syphon tea for two. We were all amazed.

End result. Tasted pretty good.

For some reason we decided to get the fancy eel sushi to share as a starter. It looked pretty amazing.

By the time our mains came, all of us were pretty full. The servings were MASSIVE. Aids got the Noel Chicken, i got Noel Beef Noodles, and Ben got the Teriyaki Beef.

Each dish came with rice salad and miso. We were so full that we took one piece of the sushi back to Angus. The packaging was pretty full on.

After lunch these people (obviously hired by Coles) were lurking around the new shopping centre where Woolstores is to try steal customers. They came chasing after me to try get me to take a photo of them.

The stocktake sale was on last night, there were quite a few people lining up outside the door, to get their special on.

Rinny was in attendance. He broke his foot doing some form of hammers somewhere. I also hear hes all thugged out now in his new GMTA limited hoody.

Went home after the sale pretty tired to watch this doco about pandas and bears (on Monday nights) that we had taped. I know this is pretty lame but i took shots of the tv cos they were so cute!!!

This photo here is of a panda on its hands and with its leg and it is peeing on the tree, apparently they compete against each other and whoever pees the highest is the ultimate fighting champion!

Mira came out of her house after resting for a few days, im glad your alright!

Yesterday

Not much has been happening, same as usual actually just a bit of work and no skating. Picked up business cards, letterheads and with compliment slips that i created and got printed yesterday. They decided to hurt my back when i lifted them. If you need any printing done or graphic design make sure u contact me!

Went to visit Printline up the west end of freo yesterday, so we decided to go SOHO Burgers
Very very filling, even grant didnt need chips. The Food Pornographer would be proud of me. WARNING THIS SITE WILL BE DANGEROUS FOR YOUR HEALTH - ask mira or me.

This is my alternative to icecream. 5 for $2 dollars not bad, gota go bargains considering i spent $43 to fill up my car at the same time.

ZOO TRIP!

I have about 5 billion photos, but i have reduced them to a few(ish). Ben took me to the zoo, he got me tickets for my birthday but we only just got around to going again. I want to go at least twice a year! Haha. Animals are the best. My mission was to see the Red Panda.

So we started at the Windsor Hotel in South Perth. Dope food.

Now this is what i came for...

Looked up at the MASSIVE tree that where the sign was, and i looked for ages, and i found it!!!! So high up! But so cute... unfortunately you can only JUST recognise randa (red panda). But it was so worth it. I think we sat for like half an hour watching it lick itself!

And ben got me one to take home.

Amazing day.. thanks ben!!! Animals are so relaxing to watch!

Sunday Morning

Started the morning with a win. I can feel a few more numbers coming on this week!!

Had breaky with Ben before he went skating. Im still injured and being all business like so i chilled at home and did work. Geelong killed the Eagles last night. Ive come to the conclusion we are gona lose every game for the rest of the season so it isnt a shock. Im still love em tho!

As the title says. Sittn inside all day trying to catch up on karma design work and gmta graphics. It sucks but its business. Gota do it!

Got the news my brother got engaged to his girly Alice. Very exciting! So my mum went crazy and bought heaps of buns home for us to eat.

Work, food and shoes.

Not much has been happening, same old stuff, sore back and a truck load of design work.

The work diet has been consisting of this.

Shoe update, got lots of vans through the shop yesterday to add the collection. Finding it hard to wear biggish shoes after wearing authentics all the time. Got this stackable shoe rack from Howard Storage World. They rock. Aids show me your shoes collection! By the way he bought me that red panda toy for my bday, thanks!!! Its the best!

I don't know anyone that can stand as much chilli as Ben. There are 3 servings of chilli flakes in the pasta before the chilli oil is added in. This is a pretty low key night. My parents are still amazed everytime we go for dinner with them.

Trying to get motivated

Believe it or not trying to graphic design work and illustration takes a long long time. Spent all weekend trying to do stuff, only got a small percentage done.
